Product Warranty Terms

All Kaltis® products come with a limited warranty, commencing from the date of shipment from Taiwan. Our limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Kaltis's liability under this limited warranty shall be, at our option, to repair or replace any defective parts of the equipment, provided, if proven to the satisfaction of Kaltis, that these parts were defective at the time of shipment, and that all defective parts shall be returned, properly identified with a Return Authorization.

A return authorization number must be obtained from Kaltis® prior to returning any product or parts to Kaltis® for warranty claim purposes. This can be obtained by email from

This warranty is transferable and extends to any subsequent owner during the warranty period. This warranty covers parts and insurance charges and also includes labour costs associated with the replacement of faulty parts, or the re-installation of replacement products. Replacement or repair of component parts or equipment under this warranty shall not extend the warranty to either the equipment, or to the component part, beyond the original warranty period as detailed below.

The product warranty is as follows:

General terms & Conditions:

• The completed warranty card must be returned to Kaltis®, within 3 weeks from installation of the freezer. Failure to do so will invalidate the warranty.
• The complete compressor, or faulty part(s), must be returned to Kaltis®, or to the distributor.
• Product returned to Kaltis®: Kaltis® will pay for the ONE WAY shipping costs to return the product / part to/from Taiwan.
• The unit/ part should be returned whenever possible in its original packaging.
• If the serial number of the product is altered, removed or defaced as to be illegible, the warranty shall be null and void in its entirety.
• For all product returns to Kaltis® a Returns Authorization Number must be obtained from Kaltis® before the product is returned.

This warranty does not cover

• Damage during installation resulting from local product handling.
• Goods damaged in transit. You should file a claim directly with the freight forwarder.
• Products with missing or defaced serial numbers.
• Products for which Kaltis® has not received payment.
• Problems that result from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, electrical supply problems, incorrect installation and freezer positioning, extreme environmental conditions
• Servicing not authorized by Kaltis®
• Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions
• Failure to follow the product installation and operating instructions.
• Failure to perform preventive maintenance
• Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by Kaltis®
• Damage by fire, floods, or acts of God
• Customer modifications to the product

Factory installed, customer specified equipment or accessories, are warranted only to the extent guaranteed by the original manufacturer. All users must register their equipment online at www.kaltis.biz / Warranty, or, complete the warranty registration form included with each product and fax to +886 (0)2 22475519.

ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THIS WARRANTY. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED.

KALTIS DOES NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS WARRANTY OR FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST WORK OR LOST PROFITS OR LOSS OF PRODUCTS. KALTIS¡¦ LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH KALTIS® IS RESPONSIBLE.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of TAIWAN and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of TAIWAN.
